The Always Learn Better™ Method

We transform student learning through four key stages:

Awareness

Awareness

Prior to meeting with students, we work with parents and team members to understand where students are and how to meet them there.

This includes evaluating academic, social-emotional, and personal developmental history to establish goals and understand who students in and outside of the classroom.

Understanding

Understanding

Students participate in a MindPrint evaluation to assess reasoning, memory, and processing skills.

This builds students’ metacognitive understanding of valuing their strengths as assets and realizing why some things are more difficult.

ALB Tutoring partners with student psychotherapists, psychiatrists, teachers, counselors, and academic deans to collaborate in pursuit of shared student goals and wellbeing.

Action

Action

Students meet with ALB Tutoring specialists based on area of focus and need. There is no one-size-fits-all model and we consistently reevaluate and adjust accordingly.

We encourage students to take action: to explore novel concepts and apply their newfound knowledge. With our guidance — combined with their dedication and persistence — students evolve into independent learners empowered to confidently navigate their academic landscape and succeed with personal endeavors.

Integrating executive functioning training into student realities of academics, test prep, and college admissions is most effective. Whether task management of the infinite college application to-dos or emphasizing metacognition and task switching while doing homework or studying for a test, integrating these skills improves self-efficacy and increases confidence.

Thorough session notes, monthly progress reports, feedback and growth are shared with parents and team members. Continuous communication is fundamental to student progress.

Impact

Impact

Our goal is personal, cognitive, intellectual growth leading to better grades, test scores, and overall achievement.

For adolescents, each realm of reality affects the other. That's why, once impact begins, it affects overall functioning.

This progression mirrors the experience of learning to ride a bicycle, from initial, hands-on instruction to the exhilarating freedom of riding solo. It, too, captures our mission: to ultimately propel students forward, embracing their fullest potential.

In a world where students forever plan their future, our method tethers them to the present. With ALB, they engage in the now and view progress as a building block for what lies ahead.
